LR Building started life as L Ricketts & Son, as a father and son pair of Builders
L Ricketts & son was formed in 1976 Mr Ricketts (senior) being 50 years old decided in 1976 that he was to adopt & son to his name. Having his son’s future in mind he offered his son a 5 years apprentice just as his father did to him.
Since 1976 L Ricketts & son has been working in London and the home counties and in 1986 due to new trends in the construction industry and the retirement of Mr Ricketts (senior) Mr Ricketts (junior) decided to form LR Building to cater for new builds and projects on more modern buildings still keeping and reverting back to L Ricketts & son to cater for the older & period properties to this very day
Here at LR Building, we are committed to the development of long term working relationships with all of our clients.
Primarily that means negotiating realistic cost packages and programs to meet with your budgets and timescales. But it also means fulfilling our obligations to you effectively, efficiently and as agreed.
Our skilled construction workforce is supported by a dynamic accounting, HR and administration department that is well versed in the latest financial control systems and current building regulations.
A major strength, both valued and remarked upon, by our clients is the ready access you can expect to have to Lee Ricketts and Management. Every contract or project has at least one assigned Project Manager directly overseeing the day to day controls.
Providing this personal accountability is important to us. It ensures that clients are involved and satisfied at every stage of the project – and happy with our end result too.
Our in-house team includes joiners, bricklayers, masons, plumbing and heating engineers, electricians, plasterers, as well as wall tilers, painters, concrete workers, drainage and general civil operatives.
We support our tradespeople with on-going training and our commitment to apprentices and traineeships that provide important local jobs and safeguard specialist skills for future generations.
